“The Tail” Doggy Hotel is made to give you comfort and ease when you travel and have no one to leave your dog to. Our dog-guests have the chance to live in a friendly, home environment to lessen the stress of the separation from the owner. This way our guests’ stay with us is like a vacation.

We have no concrete cages, fences and walks on short leashes. Our house is 3 stores high with a 2 acre yard. The dogs have the entire third floor to themselves. The floor is tiled for better hygiene; every dog has its own laying mat; there are a few couches available to everybody. The environment is as close as possible to home. The pack lives together so there’s always someone to play with.  

Because they live together we only accept good tempered and un-agressive dogs. Our guests can only be animals that enjoy a good company and don’t make conflicts. Smaller and quieter doggies usually stay with the family on floor 2, just as long as they have no problem with cats.

Our yard is very big and has a solid fence. Dogs walk around without restraint and usually stay outside all day if the weather is good.  In regard of the food – we always consider the dogs’ regime and the type of food it’s used to. We talk to the owners and follow their instructions.  

Many owners worry when they leave their pet for the first time. Of course, it’s all up to the dogs mentality, but usually they adapt easily to the new environment. In fact usually they do it even faster than you would want to! It’s all about the good approach, long walks, new friends and loads of fun – all the things that make your dogs stay with us a really pleasant experience.

It would be good if you brought your dogs sleeping mat with you – it’s comforting to have something from home in the new place. A necessary requirement is to have your dog vaccinated and treated for external and internal parasites. (Its best if the dog is treated with Frontline anti-tick and flea spray or drops, and NOT an anti-parasite collar, because they usually get torn during play.) Also we would appreciate our guests to arrive clean – our home environment is for home-grown couch potatoes…  I

t would be best if you could visit us before you decide to leave your pet with us, so you can see what sort of atmosphere we offer. This way we can discuss your pets’ temperament, feeding habits and so on. You will know who you’re leaving your dog to, and we will have an idea what will be the best regime for it.
